The Wellington Genealogy
Index is a BDM or BMD index of the Family Notices published daily
in
the Wellington newspapers since 1999. Earlier records have been
included by request.
The index covers Births, Deaths,
Marriages, Anniversaries, and In Memoriam records,
and also includes
Wanganui and Taranaki newspapers, from 2001 and 2003,
respectively.
Sue
King's index of Auckland's NZ Herald is also available,
starting from January 2009.
There are some school
magazine and shipping records.
These records are compiled
and maintained for the purposes of genealogy and family
research.
