Information includes Family Name, Forenames, Known As, Maiden Name, Death Date, Marriage Date, Year of Marriage, Gender, Age, Year of Birth, Birth Date, Paper Date, Acknowledgement Date, Obituary Date, Location of the Event, Spouse Name, Associated Family Names, Comments, plus JPG images of the notices (where requested).  See example

Optionally, you can get access to the Births records.  The pre-requisite is that you have to be able to show that you are a genuine researcher, preferably as a member of a genealogy society or family history group. 

But you have to register at the Go Search site first - please follow the steps shown below.

The First Step is to subscribe via PayPal

The Next Step is to register at the Go Search site.

That should briefly display 'you don't have enough permissions to access any page here. Please sign in first'
and then go straight through to a page headed Sign In Here.

On the Sign In Here page, click on Sign up here (underneath Don't have a username?), and fill in the form. 

Please note that registration is NOT automated, so your username and password will not be able to be used until the administrator manually completes the registration process - see The Last Step below.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Once you have completed registration at the
Go Search site, you may also want to register at the separate Births site.

Notice Requests
Please email me at glenn@genealogy-index.co.nz if you want me to post notices for records
of interest.
To help me speed up the process, please copy the record(s) you want posted and paste them into your email. 
I will post the notice with a link that appears at the right hand end of the index record. 
Then anyone else who views the index can also choose to see the notice.
I give priority to the daily entry from 3 newspapers, which includes the posting of any notices related to target names.
My second priority is the posting of requested notices of deaths, births, & anniversaries.
In Memoriam notices, related to deaths that are already in the index,
are the lowest priority - please look for the death notice.

My time is limited, and with a growing number of requests each day,
it may take a few days to respond to your request.  Please be patient.

Changes to the Web Site

Over the last few months I have made changes to the site with a view to :

  • reducing the time spent on input and maintenance of the data (there is just me to do all of the work),
  • increasing the time available to respond faster to an increasing number of requests,
  • gaining some financial contribution towards the cost of operating the service (while it has become
    an expensive hobby, I have to get a balance between altruism and economic reality).

It appears that I have upset a number of users who have been coming to the website for some time,
although they have not needed notices posted or corresponded with me. 
When I made the changes, I emailed advice of the changes and my offer to those users who had made
themselves known to me over the last 3 years (and even then I missed some).
My sincere apologies to those unknown and missed users.  I did not mean to make it difficult for you. 

I have modified the site to more closely meet the needs of this group of users.
There is now a Base Service known as Free View, with the existing Subscription Service for Go Search users.

To ensure I can advise you of changes and pass on offers from time to time, please register at the
new Free View site.  The Free View registration process has been streamlined so you can then get
immediate access to the records.

To all of those people who have subscribed to the Go Search service, thank you for your support.
